People know us as a joyful and energetic crew. We value true Southern hospitality at Silverback – even if you’re cheering for the other football team.
All jokes aside, faith in God grounds us and defines how we treat clients and teammates. We built our business on the firmest foundation: the finished work and sustaining presence of Jesus. As the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 3:11, “For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” We rest in Him, and this makes us indomitable. The promise of perfect peace and the renewal of all things – this is why we work hard and grind every day. It’s only concrete, but we believe today’s sweat builds tomorrow’s kingdom.
Our work is driven by the call to build and cultivate in His name. Honoring our commitments. Loving everyone because Christ loved us while we were yet sinners. Being ourselves. Building for generations.

Frank Stankunas
President
In 1996 Frank started Stankunas Pumping and Concrete with a $5,000 loan. Within ten years, he grew the business to more than $20 million a year, performing jobs for some of the top general contractors in the Southeast including DR Horton and Brasfield & Gorrie. Prior to starting his own business, Frank worked for Sherman Concrete and Nichols Concrete Pumping.
Frank played football at Auburn University under the great Pat Dye and graduated with a degree in Physical Education in 1991. He married his college sweetheart, Sharon. They have four children including Trace and Hayden who work alongside their dad.
Frank is passionate about mission work. He serves on the board for the Mexico Orphan Mission (MOM) and has built churches and orphanages in Mexico, Peru and Africa.

Frank Stankunas Jr. (Trace)
Vice President, Field Operations
Trace graduated from high school in 2013 and has served in construction ever since. He has worked for companies like Morris Shea Bridge, building auger cast piles and learning a wide range of skills which he now brings to Silverback Concrete.
Trace provides hands-on project management for most of our ongoing jobs. He’s certified for elevated decks by the Post-Tension Institute and specializes in post-tension, elevated decks and heavy concrete.

Tyler Stankunas
Vice President, Commercial Concrete
Tyler grew up with a front-row seat to heavy concrete. Starting in high school, he worked summers alongside Frank, Trace and Hayden.
Tyler holds a Building Science degree from Auburn University. He spent two internships working with self-perform concrete at Bailey Harris Construction.
Before joining Silverback, Tyler served as Assistant Field Manager for national construction firm Brasfield & Gorrie. He led a carpenter crew for the company’s self-perform concrete division. Tyler’s commercial experience includes building walls up to 40′ high, elevated slabs, sloped slabs, columns and beams.

Angela House
Vice President
As VP, Angela serves as the chief estimator and senior project manager for Silverback Concrete. She is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction.
Before joining Silverback she served as an estimator and assistant project manager for Brasfield & Gorrie, specializing in healthcare construction.
Angela spends most of her time enjoying family life with her husband Seth and their five children.

Jonathan Basford
Director of Operations
Jonathan has a Master of Science in Business Management from the University of Florida. He previously worked in concrete construction, but most recently served as the Director of Operations for The Family Church in Gainesville.
As Silverback’s Director of Operations, Jonathan manages our finances, facilities, human resources and more.
Jonathan and his wife have five children and are foster parents as well. They are founding members of Foster Florida, a non-profit that helps the community provide wrap-around services for foster families.

Hayden Stankunas
Superintendent
Hayden Stankunas has been involved in concrete construction most of his life. After graduating from Buchholz High School in Gainesville in 2018, he went on a solo mission trip to build a church in Kenya.
Afterward, Hayden joined Silverback part-time, providing support for several jobs. His first job as superintendent was a Holiday Inn in 2019. More recently, he served as the superintendent for Spurrier’s 5-Star Restaurant, building footers, elevated decks and elevator shafts.

Les Jordan
General Superintendent
Les provides hands-on leadership and management for commercial and industrial projects. He is certified by the Post-Tension Institute to install and tension post-tension slabs. His responsibilities range from layout, foundations and flatwork to elevated decks and vertical concrete.
Before joining Silverback, Les played football at Savannah State University, where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 2018.
Les has worked on heavy concrete jobs all over the Southeast, including a two-year job for Virginia’s largest public school in Mecklenburg County where he supervised subcontractors and jumped in alongside teammates to pour over 9,300 cubic yards of concrete.

Raheem Saunders
Concrete Plant Supervisor & Dispatcher
Raheem joined Silverback as a Concrete Laborer in 2018. As a result of his strong work ethic and discipline, he soon became Silverback’s Residential Superintendent. Now, Raheem leads Silverback’s ready mix division and manages concrete dispatching across Greater Gainesville. Having dealt with all manner of slumps, timings and square footages, he can accurately plan and prepare concrete for jobs from backyards to thousands of yards.
Raheem enjoys the variety and physicality of Silverback’s commercial and residential projects. On any given day, you’ll find him prepping for heavy industrial slabs, small sinkhole pours and everything in between.

Austin Harrell
Project & Safety Manager
Austin’s had a front-row seat to commercial construction his entire life. His father has spent his career in commercial concrete and worked for Frank Stankunas’s previous company from 2001–2008.
Austin is responsible for consistent and accurate communication, ensuring that information flows in the right direction. And he helps maintain an accident-free environment by learning and implementing the various safety protocols that each project requires. When Silverbackers walk onto a job site, Austin’s goal is for everyone to know exactly what they’re responsible for. This level of foresight results in fewer mistakes and accidents, less waste and better use of the client’s budget.

Bo Dean
Assistant Superintendent
Like another and slightly-more-famous Bo, our Bo shares the Stankunas family’s deep ties to Auburn football. His father was a long-snapper on Auburn’s special teams and played alongside Frank when they were both in college.
Bo works primarily in our residential division, pouring and overseeing foundations, driveways and sinkhole jobs for all kinds of houses. Value and efficiency are important to Bo – giving general contractors and owners the very best work at the most affordable cost. When pouring footers for a new home, he’s not just thinking about the job at hand. Bo aims to exceed all expectations because he knows each house will one day become someone’s home.

Cree Nettleton
Concrete Plant Manager
Cree has served in a variety of management roles since age 19. He’s developed a knack for reading people and finding solutions that make everyone happy.
Cree is responsible for keeping Silverback’s Minneola plant operations running smoothly. He strives to remove every hurdle, keep track of materials and fill every cancellation so our drivers and crews have room to run.
Our Minneola plant serves as the primary concrete provider for several towns west of Orlando. Cree loves driving around the area and seeing the many homes and businesses that stand on Silverback concrete.

Dale Overstreet
Field Engineer
When Silverback’s establishing the outline of a commercial building, you’ll find Dale on the job. As a Field Engineer, he’s tasked with the accurate translation of plans from paper to ground. When he isn’t setting the layout for footings, Dale supports our Superintendents by overseeing carpenters and operators. And as a third-generation construction worker, it’s no surprise Dale’s also at home in the driver’s seat of a skid steer, dump truck or excavator.
Dale appreciates the family-oriented culture at Silverback. “Nobody bats an eye if you have to leave early for a family event or personal matter,” he says. “Our leadership gives us plenty of room to meet objectives. There’s no micromanagement at Silverback. In return, they get hard work, efficiency and loyalty from us.”
